PLAYING WITH A SHORT STACK
Or.......when your CHIPS are DOWN

WHEN YOU HAVE A SMALL OR SHORT STACK-
You can only afford about 5 big blinds at the level, and those big blinds are only going to get more expensive.
WORST THING TO DO IS BLIND YOURSELF TO DEATH-
Stealing the blinds means a lot to you at this point, and the last thing you want to do is see a flop for half your stack and fold.
CONSIDER-
Going ALL-IN with Ace and a high card, or any pair preflop (if nobody already bet BIG)
IN LATE POSITION-
Again, consider going all-in with two cards of ten or higher if no one has entered the pot. Get enough chips to survive and try for at least third place.

okay as ive said before lol if my stack goes real low and i know ive only enough left to cover a few more blinds then as soon as i get anything decent ill go all in whether its a low pair or too high cards, but if i get really low i just go all in regardless of what i have even if its a 2 7 unsuited, know its not the way to play but im not one for sitting watching chips disappear totally waiting for a good starting hand(which can be beat anyway) so might as well just throw all chips in pot on anything and hope for luck(luck now theres that bad word we have on here lol) |

It is much better to make your All-In Hail Mary play while your stack is still large enough to make the larger stacks think twice. Obviously you'll want a PP or two face cards in case you get called. I'm not a fan of letting my stack shrink because of the blinds. It happens once in awhile, but definitely make your play while you still have some Ammo! |

Exactly what spookth said and if that fails, just pour a lot of maple syrup on 'em and have a good short stack breakfast! LOL |

I will usually try to wait for the best possible hand I am dealt before I as you say blind my self to the poor house and when that hand comes it's a hail mary play all in and try to get a stack back lol |

I play short stacked tight
only premium cards are played and no low pairs or connectors are looked at.
Premium being a with picture card or top pair a to q
always up the bet and dont try to bluff or limp.
be prepared to all in before the flop.
my 2 cents
