Happy Fathers Day

I awoke this mornin, with a spring in my step. But with there being no mail on a Sunday, and no knock on the door, by 2pm, I felt like I'd drank a 5 ltr bottle of Whiskey, or been darted with several Elephant tranquilisers. I know I shouldn't have felt this way, but it was 2pm, and half the day had gone.
Then my son scared the living daylights out of me, by letting himself in and creeping up behind me.
I made him a burger, and he gave me my card and a fantastic T-shirt. By far the best one I've got.
Next time I go clothes shopping.
I think I'll take my son, he's got much more style than me.

very nice,I could tell there was a little tension also as my hubby said that our oldest hadnt even called and I told him he is a late type kid and lo and behold about 15 minutes ago he called his dad so he went to bed happy.Happy fathers day to all you fathers ..... Very Happy

Scoo, I am so glad you were remembered on Father's Day! I would like to think that no son would forget his father on that day.

By the way, Scoo, I am very happy that you are now a member of OUR family!

Char, you are the sweetest thing! I appreciate so much the kindness you always show to new members.....and encourage all to do the same. New members always like to see posts to them. Just put yourselves in their places....or better still, remember back when.......

I am glad Dale was remembered, too, Char!

Amazing how much I feel or how strongly I feel about us being a real family here! Certainly the closest family I have seen on the internet!

I think we should have an International Poker Day! A day when all poker players would receive cards of congratulations for sticking it out!

It is because you are the kind of person you are that we are so happy to have you as a member of our family!

For example, the other person who joined the same day you did, turned out to be a spammer.

She has not returned since she was caught the second day and I removed the spam from her signature. Turns out she was not interested in joining us at all, even tho we gave her the same welcome we gave you. She simply wanted to use our popular site to advertise from.

So in comparison, Scoo, you are a GREAT new member....and we appreciate you and your posts!
