People watch poker on TV and say this looks fairly easy. Well keep this in mind say for example WSOP. There may be say 2600 entries at $10,000 a head. Now they don't show the ones that bust out in the first day and have a long ride home in disbelief. They also do not show all that it takes to get to the final table. And when you are watching the players at the final table you are only seeing the best of the best hands at the final table. Also as a viewer you are seeing the hole cards and say hey that guy should of called, remeber this these players do not not know what another player has. So so many folks think they can be a poker pro overnite good luck. Poker is a blood game and I have won some tourneys and other days just down right got smoked on badbeats. Makes you feel at times like giving up just relax tomorrow is another day and the cards may fall your way once again. CrazyHorse |

A few years back on the WSOP they were showing some early losers and some they thought would be gone. The ones I remember were these two old folks who dressed the same and bought in every year and where always knocked out in the fist few minutes. Too funny, they where like "oh luvvy, are you out too!" The other guy I remember the announcer was saying "Oh heres a name for you, Chris Moneymaker, I doubt it! He'll be gone way before the money! |
