WOW yesterday was a hard day

Yesterday I spent all day into the wee hours of the morning with my mom and sister going through dad's stuff he passed on 4 years ago in April and mom is finally ready to go through his belongings it was a slow and arduous task with a lot of emotional episodes and we are still not done Wednesday I will be back at mom's starting on dad's office then for quite a few saturdays have to tackle garage I know my mother needs to do this but its hard going through my beloved fathers things and actually getting rid of stuff. I just keep praying for strength to get through this and the will to want to for my mothers sake. Afterall she has been living in a shrine since nothing has been touched since his passing my mother has been sleeping on the couch for too long.

JoAnna, my thoughts and prayers are with you now, for both you and your mom, physically and emotionally. I know how hard grief can be as I am still in morning for my son who died 2 years ago, come April. It is so hard to let go of someone you deeply loved.

Thank you Nana ss for your loss you are absolutly right my mother could empathize with as well as she/I am also morning for my brother whom passed on just two months before dad 2006 was a really really heart hurt year for my family I can only imagine how it feels to loose a child I will pray for strength for you too dear as I have for my mother as your loss is so great.

ok well actually this just helped me to understand if I am grieving (properly i guess) as I have lived with and taken care of my moms home while she snowbirds for the last 6 years and came home with a raging cancer that made her pass away december 3rd and her birthday being the 21st.I broke all ties with most everything on the computer as I just couldnt focus as watching her die was horrid as she had never been sick before EVER.Sibilings are now asking if I am ready to start clearing out her things so im not living around her memory completely but NO i am not.I get angry even seein siblings touch anything as it has been taken care of by me and her even her plants but reading this I guess im ok feeling this way and this has helped.my father passed 13 years ago and his dresser still remains in there full of his stuff so she musta also felt the same.Thanks msfilly as you have helped me to relize its ok as Donna has also and I to am so sorry for your loss.
