Dear PCers!
I just learned this from OC:
If you receive an email from Neteller with a link to click on to protect your account, DO NOT CLICK ON THAT LINK!
It is not really from Neteller! It is from someone wanting to get your sign-in details to use to sign in to Neteller as you and steal all your money!
PLEASE PASS THE WORD!

I also get Paypal notices like those, char, as well as ones from eBay, but I know now to just delete them all! Thanks for the warning, P-C!

I get many paypal and ebay scam emails also, got one even today.
a few years ago i received one and did click on the link in the email, at that time i wasn't aware, unfortunately. Within 4 minutes my checking acct was wiped out. I did eventually get all the money back as banks have insurance to protect us against this type of fraud. needless to say though it was no picnic, closing accts, opening new ones, police reports, etc. A hard lesson learned. I never click on any email links any longer and anything I get from ebay/paypal that looks suspicious (they will always address you by your first and last name and never ask you to click on a link) i forward to spam@paypal.com so they can try to weed out these vultures. they will normally respond with in a few hours letting you know if it was a hoax or not. |

Thanks for the heads up Alay as I always wondered what would happen if you click the link and who you report it to when you get the emails, so thanks for the answers |
