PokerGuru Is Back after a Few Lost Days!

My good friends and great PCers, there comes a time now and then in the life of every person when some explaining is due. It is for certain that an explanation is due to you from me now, after I had an unexpected series of minor but troublesome events that has kept me away for the longest weekend plus an extra day or two. Those few days have seemed like a month to me, which has made it more clear than ever that I cannot imagine ever again my life being "normal" without my Poker Crushers being an important part of it. Sometimes it does a soul good to be cut off from the world with all its modern means of communication, just to have some time to give quiet thought to what matters most, without our thoughts being broken by the constant ringing and chiming, ticking, whistling, knocking, yelling, clanging, blowing, clicking and always, yes always, rudely demanding and expecting interruptive intrusions into the conciousness of what we once considered our private and personal little domain we had staked out innocently as the bubble of our "personal space".

If our private little bubbles haven't been torn away from us by the changing world and overpopulation, we need to make time to spend at least a few hours there alone once in a while, with everything outside as quiet as possible, and our bubble invisible to everyone but ourselves. There we can get to know ourselves again, as we really are, not as what we see reflected and defined by everybody else.

Now, there is nothing I dislike more than loneliness. In fact, I had to be forced to be alone last week, when the last of my annoying and time-consuming little events involved the loss of all electricity and cables and telephone lines. I darn near panicked. Then, as I realized there was nothing I could do but wait, I settled down and settled in and gradually peace came, followed by a wonderful feeling of peacefulness.

Then an amazing thing happened. I met me again. It was then I realized how important a part of me my wonderful and loyal PCers had become. With you, my dear friends, I have found something more than just a second home. I have found a missing part of me that would not allow me, as long as it was missing, to be completely happy or be a totally complete person again. Now I am the real me again, and a very happy me. For that I thank you all more than I know how to express. I knew it instinctively, but I didn't know it well enough to put it into words until I was cut off from the world long enough to really get to know myself again.

The worst part of it was the timing. I have so many things to tell you and discuss with you, that I have to remind myself that my natural easygoing nature is what I must rely on so that I will get it all in, even if it takes a little longer.

We have a lot of unfinished business to wind up. And we have so much new business coming up that I am looking forward to ending 2006 and starting 2007, both in very exciting ways.

Things have never looked better for Poker-Crush, even with the mosquito of governmental legistation buzzing around our heads.

I have a lot of plans and news for you, and it wil be coming, one thing at at a time, starting later today. Sorry, but I was never very good at "multi-tasking"!

Just hang in here with me, gang. You did through the worst of our growing pains, and even if we have a few of those still to go, the worst days are behind us and better times are coming at us with the speed of all the energy we, as the big family group of all types that we are, can muster!

Sorry for being AWOL for a few, but like most things, it all worked out for the best! I will be posting more today, as I begin to get caught up and we begin to start moving on down the line.....or in OUR case.....moving on UP the line!

WOW, I SURE KNOW WHERE UR COMING FROM GURU.....THE PAST COUPLE MONTHS LOOKS LIKE IT'S BEEN TESTING BOTH OF US, MY VACUUM WENT OUT, MY DRYER QUIT, MY TRANSMISSION IN MY CAR IS GOING OUT (JUST AS I HAD GOTTEN NEW TAGS ON IT) MY TV IN A SECOND BEDROOM WENT OUT, NOW MY PIPES ARE FROZEN......WAS ON THE PHONE LAST NIGHT WITH A FRIEND & I WAS TELLING HER ABOUT THE PIPES & I WAS LAUGHING TELLING HER ALL THIS crepe THAT WAS GOING WRONG, SHE SAID * LISTEN TO YOU, ALL THIS STUFF GOING ON & YOU'RE STILL LAUGHING* WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO, I THINK WE'VE ALLHAD SO MUCH NEGATIVE HAPPEN TO US THAT SOMEHOW WE GATHER THE STRENGTH TO TRY & MAKE THE BEST OF IT, B 4 I KNEW THE PIPES WERE FROZE I HAD WENT TO THE BATHROOM ( BAD IDEA, LOL ) I TOLD HER IF ANYONE COMES IN THEY'LL JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT LOL......I TOLD HER * I HAVE TO GO TO A RESTAURANT JUST TO TAKE A SH** LOL.......THESE TESTS ONLY MAKE US STRONGER..... AM I KIDDING MYSELF ?? NAW.... I'VE BEEN THROUGH A LOT WORSE THAN ALL THIS.....THINGS CAN BE FIXED & OR REPLACED, OURSELVES CANNOT, WE ONLY HAVE ONE SELF SO WE HAVE TO USE WHAT WE HAVE LEFT & MAKE THE BEST OF IT.......I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CORNY & SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE SCREAMING, CRYING, BIT**ING, & COMPLAINING...... THEN I THINK ABOUT A FRIEND OF MINE THAT HAS NO PLACE TO LIVE, SHE'S LIVING WITH ANYONE SHE CAN WHILE SHE'S TRYING TO GET HER DISABILITY TO GO THROUGH, I'VE BEEN WHERE SHE IS & I NEVER WANT TO GO BACK THERE & AS I LIVE & BREATHE I WILL NEVER, & WHATEVER I HAVE IS HERS, HOWEVER SMALL OR BIG, I HAVE A HOUSEFUL RIGHT NOW BECAUSE MY KIDS' DAD LOST HIS JOB & HAS NO ELECTRICITY RIGHT NOW, SO MY YOUNGEST SON IS HERE ALONG WITH THE OLDEST WHO JUST GOT LAID OFF, BUT GOOD NEWS THERE I HOPE Smile

HE WILL GET UNEMPLOYMENT & HE JUST WENT TO A COMPANY TODAY THAT SAID THEY ARE HIRING WELDERS WHICH IS WHAT HE DOES, LET'S HOPE HE GETS IT........EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON & THERE'S A REASON FOR EVERYTHING ...... guru and rainbow im sorry to hear about your rough days i hope you both have better days ahead and rainbow you have a huge heart someday good karma will reward you for that i dont think ive met many people nicer than you even though i havent actually met you im one of those people who knows how to tell who the nice ones are i learned from experienc and the lessons werent usually nice, im glad you had some good news and i hope you have a merry christmas regardless!!!and guru thanks for the explanation but you know you dont have to be perfect for everybody all the time sometimes you have to worry about yourself thats understandable and i hope you have better days ahead of you too!!

Rainbow, I wish I could hug you, comfort you, and make all the bads go away -- and that goes for the rest of you, with your sweet and understanding posts, as well.

But we all know by now that we can either cry because the rose has thorns or smile because the thorns have a rose.

I admire you, Rainbow. The true meaning of your screen name is, of course, hope and a promise that things will be better. That is what the rainbow stands for.

As for the rest of you.......I don't know who could ask for better friends.

Again I have to ask and wonder, as I do so often, How in the world did we all find one another and get together in one place?

I DID GET SOME GOOD NEWS YESTERDAY, IT WAS A BUSY PLACE AROUND HERE ..... A FRIEND CAME OVER & THE PLACE JUST GOT BUSIER, GOT A PHONE CALL THAT SHOCKED ALL OF US, MY SONS JOB CALLED & CALLED HIM BACK TO WORK & SAID NOTHING WOULD CHANGE EXCEPT THE BUILDING HE'S WORKING IN & HES STILL GETTING HIS RAISE AS SOON AS HE COMPLETES HIS TEST ( THEY TEST HIGHER FOR HIS WELDING DEGREES ) ALSO I FORGOT ABOUT HAVING A TORCH IN MY CAR & TOLD MY SON & HE WONDERED WHERE THAT WENT LOL....I SAID I WONDERED WHY A TORCH WAS IN MY CAR TOO LOL.....WELL THAT TOOK CARE OF THE FROZEN PIPES Smile

SO WE CAN SH** NOW LOL........I'M PRETTY SURE WE'LL GET THE DRYER & VACUUM FIXED SOON, AS FAR AS THE CAR, WELL I GUESS WE'LL SEE Sad
