Okay, now, Bower, don't let the amount of money make you nervous!

You CANNOT think about how big this one is! You have to make yourself think of it as any other tourney you play every day.

Spend about a half hour alone and quiet before it starts, just reminding yourself of the most important things. You already know what they are.

Don't let any opponent get under your skin.

Have plenty soft drinks and/or water close at hand.

Eat a snack about an hour before playing.

Go pee before the game starts.

Splash some cool water on your face and hair and brush or comb your hair and wash your hands and wrists before the game.

Stayed relaxed and focused on the cards. Relaxed and focused, no distractions.

And, most important......if you get knocked out early, IT HAPPENS TO US ALL and I will NOT be disppointed in you, just FOR you!

NOW GO PLAY, MAN, AND KICK SOME BUTT!!!!!!

Well,it's over.First off it was fantastic playing a tournie this size.Thanks to Guru's teachings making it possible.
I was relaxed and in great frame of mind starting.I won a few hands early but only small pots.I never really got going with the cards I got.Can only bluff so much.Bluffed enough to get past second break,LOL!!
I ended up 230/800.Top 110 got paid.
Sorry I didn't do better but I KNOW the day is coming.

That comes out as 1 / 4
Which means you finished in the top 1/4 of your first $100,000 game!
Which means you finished in the top 25 percent of an 800 field!
Which means you are a winner in my book and in any thinking person's book, Bower!

And you have the nerve to say "Sorry I didn't do better" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the only tiny little bit wrong with your perspective of your finish!

Otherwise, you were RIGHT ON THE MONEY in analysing your game play!

If I don't stop right now, I will end up writing a book! So I am going to end this post with a great big WELL DONE! You made my night!
