It's kind of like being a perfect lier LOL If you have a bad hand and are bluffing you really don't want the other player to know. If you have a killer hand and are soaking them up for more money you definately don't want them to know.

i put on a poker face as it looks better than my own face lol....if you put on a poker face and show no emotion when your cards are getting dealt then your opponents can not tell how good a hand you are holding and whethher you are bluffing or not

I tend to use a "poker face for alot of reasons, like when I don't want someone to know how good (or may bad) my hand in cards is, or when I have a surprise planned and don't want the person to know why I need them to 'walk to the store' for me, or when I have a gift for someone that I know they really want and tell them it's just a cheap little thing I saw and thought they'd like.
