Hello Poker Crushers, Poker Players, Poker Scholars, & Poker Lovers !
Here's a contest for July, 2006, for 2000 PC points. Number of winners will depend on number of posters.
As usual, unless about poker strategy, my contests are very simple. I think this one should be fun, both for you to enter and also for reading what your sitemtes have to say!
CONTEST DISCOVERY and MEMORY: Think back....and back.....further back.....and then tell us a few things you remember feeling and thinking when you first discovered online gambling!
Idea: You might want to include HOW you learned about it, too.
You might even want to tell us how your feelings about it have changed...if they have...since you discovered t.
CAN'T WAIT TO READ YOUR ANSWERS!

I believe that I received an email that offered free money at a casino...It was Desert Dollar casino....I signed up and started playing..I hit a few hundred on a game and thought...they will NEVER pay..SO...I looked into cashing out and I found out there was a "playthrough" requirement (foreign to me then of course) AND you had to make a minimum deposit of $25 SO I did just that...signed up a firepay account...kept playing (smaller amounts) to make the playthrough and put in for a cashout and low and behold it was in my firepay account in 2 days!!! WELL I am totally hooked now!! I got into poker about the same time playing freerolls at pokerstars. Now I play at Betfred poker and I love it! I am trying very hard to win a seat for the WSOP but I think I have a lot to learn and a while before I will get there!
My feelings now are...I LOVE the fact that I can sit at home..in my Jammies if I so choose and relax and play at my computer...I do love going to Vegas BUT when I am not able to be there I am glad I can play here :-)
OK I have blabbered enough I think LOL
Beckie :-) |

oh man!! My poor memory cells are sore from thinking so hard about this!!
I remember my first computer and Radio Shack had a whopping 64K Ram and a tape drive. Monitor was black and white! I bought it brand new so you know how long ago that was LOL
Games then were only pixels. Then I upgraded to a Tandy 1000!!! WHOOT I had a floppy drive and COLOR AND internet!!!! That is when the real world lost me ROFL. I was hooked and never looked back. I was an RPG game addict for awhile ( such a naughty girl I was at times *blush*) anywaaaaaaaaay after pondering and hurting my brain for a day... I CAN'T REMEMBER!!!!!!!! I must have run across a casino in my world class marathon computer sessions... and well... I think I have every casino, bingo site on the net.. many which I have forgotten till I try to sign up to them again and told I already have an account hehehe.. sooooooooo many years ago... man going down memory lane |

I recieved a email from bingoville about 4-5 years ago ....free 10.00 sign up lol
Signed up ..and learned about Firepay and Neteller, so I decided to deposit $20.00 at Bingoville and won the Nickel Coverall jackpot of $800.00 (cashout $750.00) Lmao
Thats when I knew where the cashout button was lol
And now I cant seem to find a casino, bingo or poker site that I dont have an account at ....and worst of all it is so much harder finding that cashout button !! LMAO

Have always loved casinos and gambling, but never really have had the money to do much of it, so when I started seeing all the free bonus offers online, I dove in headfirst, and I still jump on every new one I come across, the fewer and further between they are now though, since I've done soooooo many of them!
I don't remember when or where the first one was at all!
thanks

My first time, in 2001, I realized, I had a computer for 3 days, and had done nothing on it. I signed up for service, and started chatting. That became boring, so I went on to music and videos, and the same thing, BORING. I checked my email and to my wandering eyes did appear, but an email about an online casino for fun play and winning prizes. So I signed up. I kept playing and signing up for more and more game sites. Suddenly, an email arrived for me to join an online casino, with a free CASH, NO DEPOSIT bonus.-- I signed up, and there was REAL CASH in my account. I played, and won well over the playthrough, and requested a check for $800. The check appeared in a few weeks, by then I had opened payment accounts, such as neteller, and paypal. I won a few lost a few and have been gaming ever since.
