Besides lots of big money, football players who win the yearly Super Bowl also receive a gold ring.
Besides lots of big money, poker players who win the yearly World Series of Poker (WSOP) also receive a gold bracelet. |

Interesting that it is a gold bracelet. Since it is predominately male I would assume they would go for a gold watch or ring. Not many men wear bracelets that I know anyway. But hmmm sure would look good on MY wrist too!! LOL (Don't think I would ever get THAT far!) |

I wonder how many Super Bowl Rings and WSOP Bracelets have been collected by Las Vegas area pawn shops over the years?
And what are the odds against somebody winning both a Super Bowl ring and a WSOP bracelet in the same year, assuming it hasn't already happened?
Any chance I might ask a question that doesn't stump google?

VALERIA......
Don't be so quick to sell yourself so short!
Take a guess which one of us ...you or I ... would be more likely to have better jugement of your chances JUST FOR THIS SHORT PERIOD in your pursuit of becoming a consistent winner? Right! Not for long.....but for right now, I know more about your poker playing than you do!
The fact that you have already developed a unique ability to make your adversaries form an early and invalid opinion of your skill is a BIG point in your favor.
That is one of the things we need to discuss -- your unusual style -- just as soon as I can get caught up with following your shenanigans at the table!
Again, just DON'T you dare sell yourself short -- except to the ones you are playing against!

Darrin ! LOL !
Your first question: Now you have me wondering too, and who but our Darrin would EVER think of such? You certainly have an uncanny ability to leave no stone unturned.....and that can be nothing but good for the player of the poker game!
Your second question: I would be willing to place a pretty hefty bet on the fact that it has never happed!!!!
And your question #3: My friend, your guess is every bit as good as mine!
Your tickled tickler,
PokerGuru |

Dear Beckie, my darlin' .....
How I would love to just give you the answer straight out!
But, honey, there is a small group of PokerCrushers who are gambling on a winner-take-all basis to see which of them can be the first to figure out my World League of Poker name, under which I gamble professionally.
So if I were to answer your question forthrightly, it would narrow the possibilities unfairly for them to a terrible degree.
I am sincerely sorry that you have finally asked a question that your PokerGuru cannot answer.

Well I keep trying hehe.. I was playing for fun the other night at CD Poker and was at a table of 8. Buy in was $100 at a NL table. Two Frenchmen were razzing me in fun because I kept taking all their money LOL I was up to $3879 within an hour... before I had to go to bed.. |

Remember I mentioned that I love to bluff sometimes? Well after winning with good hands (and betting aggressively with those hands) I found out that once everyone at the table sees me pull in some nice pots when I bet aggressively , then I bet aggressively sometimes with a hand that doesn't warrant that kind of betting everyone starts folding LOL Once in awhile someone thinks I might be bluffing but they always pick the wrong hands to assume that... Poker is really a lot of fun... |

Well I was in the mood to play poker and broke as usual so I went to play for fun. I usually try to pick tables that are almost completely full 8/10 or 9/10 because I can make more money LOL and I look to see what pots are highest in that range of tables. I get bored if the pots are low as it seems nobody wants to bet there so I pick almost full tables with high pots. I do favor NL tables because the betting can get fast and furious and you need to have some guts sometimes.
It was really late and your max money to bring to the table is $100. I LOVE turning that $100 into the thousands.. Although quite a few times my first one or two sittings usually bust me and I have to bring another $100 to the table but then I get going on a roll. Maybe it is because I get a better feel for the table I dunno.
But like I said it was really late and I just wanted to play for about an hour. And I turned that $100 into $3879 before I just couldn't stay awake any longer. Oh and the table was .50/1 bets NL and my total net profit was $3679 I assume since I lost the first $200. I don't keep track of wins and losses I only count up my money at the end hehehehe Once in awhile I look at stats which I should have up at all times I guess but I usually don't.
So I hope I answered your questions. |
