Hello Gals and Guys!
As I promised you when I first started here, I don't hold back the goodies, even if it means revealing things I learn when playing and socializing with my fellow professionals on the worldwide tours. Of course I am not going to ever write anything that would hurt or do harm to anyone. I wouldn't do it to you and I sure won't do it to my colleagues at work on the road.
However, that doesn't mean I can't reveal a bit of gossip now and then to keep you up to date with what to expect when you yourselves start traveling in the pro circuit. And I do believe I see several of you in my crystal ball doing just that. I am positive that several of you certainly have the potential to go as far as you wish.
Of course when I first started, I was perfectly satisfied to be a grinder for the glimmer. And here I present my first HIDDEN SURPRISE ZIP CONTEST!You have to hunt for these among the words I write anywhere here at Poker-Crush. Since you will have to find them, the possible prizes will be good! You have to post here saying you are entering this one. Then when you think you have the answer, you can post again, revealing what you think the answer is. Winners will be drawn from all who have posted the correct answer by June 20th. That gives you ten days. The question is: What is the meaning of what I said in the first sentence of this paragraph?
Tehee. LOL. LMBO. ROFLMBO.
Okay. On with my revelations.
Things are getting a little tense among the pros about now, as we come closer and closer to the Finals of the 2006 World Series of Poker, happening this summer. I saw evidence of that in the past few days.
An example I noticed in particular was something going on between the two Phils, Phil Hellmuth (the extra "l" mine) and Phil Ivey. Both are leading contenders. Hellmuth, known for having the patience of Job, could be heard in the lounges, making King Lion growling noises when Ivey came near. Seems Hellmuth thinks Ivey's ego is a bit inflated. At least, that's how it appeared to me. In return, Ivey, it seemed to me, was doing a bit of snubbing when encountering Hellmuth.
Then, at the table, during a big money game, Annie Duke, top woman player, I thought was playing a distraction game, by repeating over and over aloud different numbers in rapid succession while the rest of us were trying to think about our hands. What the numbers meant was known only to her.
Yes, indeed. Things are getting interesting. I will keep you updated as time progresses.
As for myself, I am simply worn out. But happy with my playing in the last few games. I will try to bring some more glory to Poker-Crush!
That's enough for now. Hope you like the changes in the Forum Index. I would like to thank one of my poker scholars for some very good suggestions. Thank you, Valeria!
Use your heads when playing. Remember, luck is a four-letter word in my poker classes. It is replaced always with knowledge of the game and learned skills!

Hi,
Poker Guru I think this is what you meant...I'm keeping my fingers
crossed
Just think. Today $50. Tomorrow the sky's the limit. Every big frog in the pond had to start out as a tiny tadpole!
Thanks,

Good Luck to my brightest future stars and to all!
One word of wisdom: DO NOT rely on one another's answers in this one!
Proud of you all!

POKERGURU, I look forward to the day you can post here a top place finish on the final table again on the tour... I know it is only a matter of time and let those with fat heads think anything they want...it makes them weak and unprepared for what lies ahead..
And..lol...please remember me when cashing that big cheque!! and maybe send me some too....lmao
Good luck,
DrC |

Nice to hear from you Mr. Guru. Include me on this one please.
I'm going with with gut feeling on this. I think you meant that when you first started, you were happy just to be at the same table with the big names and all the exposure. At some point you decided that you indeed deserved to be there and started expecting more out of your game.
Thanks for the contest continued good luck to everyone!
