Pretty much growing up in a pool hall in Toronto, gambling and hustling was a daily routine for me - especially during a time when I was in there almost 24hrs a day for about 3 months straight. If anyone needed to find me, and I wasn't around playing pool or cards, I was no further than a look under Table #7. This was back in "88 - hustled and bustled until '96....those days poker was what it was...i don't recall any mention of being able to play on the internet...and I have to admit when I finally did hear of it...i wanted nothing to do with it. Obviously it's popularity kept growing, soon it was all over the place - TV commercials, as guys leave the office I hear, "yo..see you online tonight?" Well..10+ yrs later - 2008, I caved..and decided to check it out...and I'll be honest here...only to hate it more....like who goes all-in pre-flop with a 2/3offsuit.. ..and with many more hands just as bad to come..what did turn it around for me..Sit'N Go 6-10 player tournaments and Cash Tournaments (with no rebuys)...for some reason this online I like and is all I play online...
I'm not sure why I avoid the cash tables other than I get really restless or impatient yet I love playing live games with friends.
Do I need a cure? Or are there others who feel the same way?
I would appreciate anyone's feedback |

I also like the sit and gos and tourneys but poker Guru pointed something out that I started noticing might just be something to think about. When you sit at a sit and go or a tourney, you are stuck there even though you get the ones that go all in pre flop or are rude or just seems to not be able to do anything but make you mad versuses sitting at a cash table, they make you mad and play like donks ,you can get up and go to another table and I have been noticing that lately. |

AHHH....maybe that's why I like it so much!!! So true..i think some of you might be able to tell...once u get me going...i start rolling...and I LOVE IT...when then conversation ends with a ...we adults..well ok....not the L but F...as the player leaves the table with no more chips...
Donkey see, Another Donkey Do...but oh...I can't mention it... my gosh this will be torture...but the "UCKY" Donkey will always beat you..
It's usually like that for the bigger cash tourneys in the beginning until at least after 2nd break...after that the conversation is usually pretty cool...with an occasional player going on tilt here and there...
And you are also right cuz at cash tables when someone starts yappin or start making donkey calls...players just up and leave...(based on experience)..
I have lots to learn...I'm glad I haven't been caleed a donkey anymore...sometimes I wonder if that's cuz every player I've played with has already put it in there "Notes" - learned this one today from the Guru - and marked me as Donkey - dunno... |

Kid ____
Your sharp mind shows too much natural savvy for you to ever be called a donkey -- at least by anybody with enough sense to be keeping their notebooks up to date.
