PRIZE PAYMENTS BEING DELAYED THIS MONTH
Dear Poker Crushers,

The recent changes in legislation have caught everyone unawares and very suddenly. One of the implications (apart from the various US players having difficulty finding a casino they can fund + play at), is that some (well quite a few) of the casinos we earn incomes from (to fund out contests), are actually holding back some of our earnings (for the higher risk of potential charge-backs which unfortunately do occur from time to time from players intentionally).

The heightened risk from the casinos point of view I can understand, and I understand this affects our (PC's) earnings, but this only came to light in the last week or so (and in the last few days more payments we were awaiting are being delayed - some are 50/50 - all very boring).

We based our contest prizes being paid on advertising revenues that we expected to receive during this month (as at the beginning of the month before all this nonsense got where it has now).

The long and the short of it is - we can only pay prizes as we get the money in from the casinos/bingo/poker sites we have been advertising. We don't have any problem with what they're doing - it's understandable but it was just not something that we had planned for.

Basically - it may take more than 10 days to get your prizes for which I apologise - but this really is out of my control. One thing I can promise is - that you will get your winnings in time.

Please don't send PM's reminding me - because that doesn't help speed things up - only frustrates me more that I can't do anything to speed it up. Thank you for listening Smile

Just one tack-on addition by PokerGuru:

There will be several more contests from the guru each month -- some for cash, some for PC points to get cash.

Hard for OC to list them, as she never knows in advance how many the Guru will have or for how much in prizes, since the Guru rarely knows himself and bases it on the progress of the poker scholars!

I apologize for my September contests being late in starting BUT...... You will think, I think, they will be worth the wait because I WILL HAVE SEVERAL CONTESTS all throughout the month (not all will be announced at the same time).

So after I get the first new ones posted, keep looking for new ones to pop up any day all the way through to the last day of the month.

MY EXCUSE: The reason I am running late is because my August contests have been soooooooo hard to judge. All the entries were just GRRRRREAT........, so remember one of the first most important qualities for a poker champ to have: P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E!

September contests are coming....and they are DOOZIES!

For a lot of the members here they are also members at CC and know how I am. After making that last post , which would be normal for CC, I thought against posting it since we've really not worked that long together.

I've really tried to be more professional at PC, but its all Mojo's fault ... she brings it out of me. Embarassed
