Well it is Final finally!

I have applied for an apartment and was accepted but had to wait for one to open. The word is finally in!!

I am moving in Febuary 3rd!! I am excited, and scared (haven't lived by myself in over 30 years.)

I look forward to it but at the same time - I am leaving my grandkids Sad

That is going to be HARD. My youngest grandchild (age 6) I have been with since he was born and in fact we share a bedroom.

He might have problems adjusting to the fact I am not there with him everynight but at his age he NEEDS his own room. I keep telling him that now it will be just his room and all his toys and stuff will be in his room. I am trying to make him excited about it telling him how cool it is going to be to have his very own room like his brother.

But it is upsetting me more than him I think LOL Not having my own room but being away from him and his brother.

But as you may have noticed I have been a little busy with the holidays and packing.

I should only miss a day or two of internet but it might take a week depending on how fast I can get a hookup. I am hoping for fast hookup Smile

Like instantaneous hahahah

But until move in date I am here just really busy Smile

well val moving is always scary...in fact its been said moving house is one of the most stressful things we can ever do and ill vouch for that lol having had a few very chaotic house moves...but its worth it in the end and you have so much to look forward to... do not see it as leaving the grandkids see it more as a wee break in your own place and now you will cherish and look forward to seeing the children all the more ...good luck and hope everything goes well

So happy you will finnally get settled that has to feel good hope you don't miss too many days you will be missed

I totally understand how you feel about leaving the grandkids I have been with my grandkids since they were born in fact was in delivery room with Amber when Trinity was born and they have lived with me most of their lives I would be upset leaving them too but look at this change as a new adventure and discover new things about you and life the and remember you are forever grandma Good Luck to you Val.

i wish you all the best val!....so when is the house warming party? apart from food and guests bringing gifts...unfold the poker tables that were hidden away....roll out the bar (disguised as wall unit with books and bookshelves during the day)...push aside the boxes filled with extra silverware and grab hold of the pokerchips contained in its silver case...take your seat....and say "Shall we?...."

congrats val! as donna said you can have the weekends with the grandkids. there's nothin like havin your own place. : )
