Well, dear PCers, we begin another month together with lots of thoughts and hopes and plans AND CASH CONTESTS!

Here is your first October Contest!

Make a post below in this thread, telling me SOMETHING, in your own words, PLEASE, that will let me know that you have, SINCE the last day of September, read the words on our PORTAL PAGE. (first page, front page).

That's it.

RULES:

Post must be made below.
You must use your own mind and your own words.
You may make your post as long as you wish.
You may make more than one post if you think of something else later.
Deadline is the last day of October at midnight ET.
You must have earned 3000 PC points and still have them to redeem for a cash prize if you are eligible as a winner of a cash prize.
You must have COMPLETELY filled out your profile page.
You must have filled out the "My Payment Method" page at PC.

NEW RULE, STARTING OCTOBER, 2008: YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 POKER SITE BANNERS IN YOUR POST AND YOU MAY HAVE AS MANY BANNERS AS YOU WISH ABOVE 3. If you do not know how, this problem can be easily solved if you write a PM about it to either ojisplayin or Mel3.

We accept all willing poker students here.We have no poker secrets we horde.We share the knowledge that the skills we learn here far outweigh any luck you might have at the tables.We are all much more successful and happier than before we joined Poker-Crush, just as I believe you will be too very soon.

I think to the new member the really important things cannot be stresssed enough.............we are a family here, and welcome all with open arms. Browse around our portal page and then take a long peek inside the forum itself and you will see posts about just about anything and everything imaginable. All our poker sites are member tested and approved so you know you can't go wrong picking one to play at. Join us for chat on tuesday evenings (9 PM. EDT ) and see the gloves come off and the kookiness come alive. It is usually a half hour of non-stop fun. Then you get a chance to win chat chips. whoohooo !!!!!!! I had never thought of joining a poker forum before I came here . I joined and read there front page and came to find out that this is a wonderful forum . I too am learning all the secrets of poker . Only because of the great help of the Guru and all it's members .This is a wonderful forum to learn about poker . Also it has all the things here as other forums . BUT it is one of the best close family forums with all the friendliness people here .I can talk about poker or what ever I want . I have even posted about my new puppy . All you have to share is welcome here . That is what is so nice of this forum . Even in chat we all talk about poker and our happenings in our lives too . So make sure you read that front page it tells you every thing you need to know .Thank you Poker Crush I am happy to be apart of this forum .

I am going to have to get back to you on this. I read the portal page on the first but..... I have been real sick and I actually cannot remeber much of what I read.

I have been so brain fried with this illness that actually when I went to the store the other day with only 3 things to get, I had to call Jim in the middle of the store because my cart was still empty even though I had been there nearly half an hour but could not for the life of me remember what I was supposed to get lol.

I will have to reread the portal page again when I am closer to 100% since I am still not better but getting there.

Dear sweet Mirrors,

The purpose of this contest was not to have you learn anything new about us or our forum.

But I did have 2 purposes for it:

1. To give you experience in thinking both logically and creatively at the same time. To learn to get even better at organizing your thoughts so that you can express yourself in a very intelligent way that shows excellent communication skills. To gain experience in essay-style writing, which shows you have no lack of education and gains respect for you from others which increases your self-respect which increases your success at playing poker.

2. To reinforce a practice I want you to get used to doing automatically -- which is to pay attention to the first page of all internet sites, especially poker sites or poker-related sites. The better you understand a poker site, the better you will do there!

Okay? I don't want you to misconstrue the reason I have you doing anything, either.

Now I will go read your PM and see what I can make of it and do about it if necessary.

As I read the portal page,What was in my brain was If I just stumbled upon this Fabulos site for the very 1st time,I would be crazy not to look into every aspect of this place.But I've been here for a while & can say with all honesty every member here is EXACTLY as described in portal,It's getting better everyday,I am proud to call myself a CRUSHER. when readin the portal page i see the most interesting thoughts of guru.
i think that all that read can see the love, the passion and the caring that goes into this forum. the pages that are displayed in this forum are unique and defined. this is the first poker forum that i have joined and i must say that everyone here is loving, caring, kind and very helpful. i know this as a fact. i love this poker forum. you all are the best!

I did finally go in and reread the portal page now that my brain is working now and can absorb info.

I almost cried. The page made me feel very warm and loved. I look forward to welcoming many new comers and helping out where I can with any advice or even just a shoulder to lean on. As I said this forum feels like a home to me and all of you members my family. The larger the family the better.

I need help with banners but never need help with why poker crush is fabulous pure and simple and easy as ABC's and these 123's

1. Poker Guru, as a member of PC you will find not only a teacher, a mentor, and your #1 cheerleader but above all you will gain a dear friend in our Guru. Someone that prods and urges you to be a better you not just a better poker player and that alone make pc the place to be.

2. The members, here at pc we are a family, everyone helps everyone sure there is competiveness but it is all in good fun with learning and lessons in not just poker but life. I have some wonderful online friends here at pc that make poker fun but more than that make my online time fun too. ( I don;t get as much online time as I used too but when I do I spend it here)

3. There is the added little bonus of games and prizes that can be won just for hanging out with friends every contest is a learning experience I have learned more about poker and myself playing the contests here at pc and I heave learned a lot about my fellow pcer's who are the best people on the net to have in your pocket before the flop.(LOL a little poker humor)

I am a happy pc'er and owe it all to our beloved OC who told me all about Poker Crush and I can never thank her enough, or Geno for making this place possible All the staff, Our Guru, Geno, and all the PC members make this a fabulous place to spend my time on the internet Thank you to you all.
