Well I was playing a freeroll tourney last night. So I am all excited because I was going to play without grandkids tugging at me or screaming in my ear so I could concentrate lol.
Wouldn't ya know it the first table I was placed at I had some idiot that was CONSTANTLY going all in. I was folding GREAT hands over and over and over till my money was down to $750 when someone finally took them out. I refused to go all in on hands that were dealt to me. Something I might have done before Poker Guru True I could have won many of those hands after seeing the junk in his but can't cry over spilled milk and I forgot each hand after it was played to play the next.
On my left was a very good poker player (the one who eventually took this idiot out) and I had a very hard time recovering but I made it back up to $2400. I even thanked him for taking the guy out hehehe.
So like I said I worked hard and played smart to bring my bankroll back up and then a fatal hand and most likely fatal because I made the mistake. I thought I had it made with a pair of Kings (I had a K and a 5) one King in the turn. There was a Queen and a pair of 7's and a 10 laying on the table. I thought ok I have 2 pair and not much else was gonna happen with just the river ahead. So someone went all in and I did too. Ya you guessed it.. they were holding pocket Q's and had a full house. Soooooo I was out.
I just didn't think of that hand at all for some reason that someone could have a pair of queens in their hand. Like I said it was my mistake and I got cocky thinking I had the high cards. Looking back someone could have had 3 7's and still took me out. I was having a brain fart! LOL After all that hard work getting my money built back up and I stupidly threw it away.
So I will bend over now and let everyone kick my butt. ROFL |
