I am curious if anyone has poker hands named after them. Like "The Doyle Brunson" is 10-2 or "Pocket Rockets" is AA, etc

I know alot of you may be new to poker, so no one may have not named a hand after you, but you could post your quirky favorite hand that is your"lucky hand" if no one has ever named a hand after you.

When i played with my buddies in the local homegames, my buddies ended up naming a hand after me, the 43 offsuit, and the 43 suited, lol

the 43 offsuit is simply called "The dmoney" and

the 43 suited is called "The Dmoney Deluxe" hehe

The reason behind this is it always seemed i could find a way to win with these cards. One night, i flopped the nuts twice, both times with big hands in front of me limping in or making a minimum raise, while i was in the big blind. I would call the the little extra, and busted out the monster hands both times, by flopping the nuts, them never expecting it.

I love to see the flop with this hand, after all, it is named after me, but doesn't mean i will always play it, or call anything to see it, but you never know, if you are palying with me and see A 2 5 hit the board, you better keep in mind, there could be a chance i'm holding"The Dmoney" hehe

Haven't had that honor bestowed upon me yet.However I do like pocket 10s.They look as good as bullets when you have been dealt lousy cards for the last two levels.So play them carefully.
Next month's poker knowledge contest will suggest how to play them.

when you have been card dead for 30 minutes straight, and paint or any pocket pair looks like gold in my opinion. lol

the trick is don't get over excited when you see the hands, and keep your composure and play them normally or even fold them as well.

after what it seems you getting 83, 72, 94, etc,, then you see a hand like KQ suited, players tend to over play a hand like that because sometimes desperation starts to set in, and 2 big painted cards looks beautiful after staring down 92 for 30 minutes.

Patience and composure is key in these situations.

I don't have a hand named after me, but my favorite hand is K6-it's just always been lucky fo me; I like it better if it's suited but it doesn't have to be. Not the greatest hand, but it's been good to me.

I dont have any hands named after me, but just straying off the topic slightly if i may. We play a game in britain similar to poker called 3 card brag, played only with the 3 cards you are dealt.
'Bouncer' is a run of 3 cards in the same suit.
'Tangerine' is 10,J,Q.
'Aqua' is A,K,Q.
To name but a few.

My favourite hand is 10-J suited. Im drawn to it like a magnet and cannot put it down pre flop.
