Gus Hansen is best known from his appearances on the World Poker Tour. He won both events at the Bellagio and at the Commerce Casino.

He is a very talented no-limit player and has attained a reputation as the craziest poker player in the game because he is not afraid to play any hand and play it very aggressively.

Prior to playing poker, Gus Hansen was a ranked backgammon player. He is from Copenhagen, Denmark and started playing poker in Santa Cruz, California and plays in many of the larger buy-in events.

Gus is by far know as a dangerous opponent and many fear sitting at the final table with Gus due to his crazy play style and willingness to chase and raise on weak hands.

Gus has also jumped on the online poker craze by adding his name to Poker Champs. While although it is rare to see Gus playing at Poker Champs it is a fun watch when he does.

Gus is definately the man seems like he always pulls out some bad beats on TV, I don't know if that's just what they show half the time or if he is just always doing it. Haven't seen him on for awhile though, he used to be on last year alot, wish he would start getting in the bigger games, I mean come on he's a self made millionaire anyways, he's got the money to use or lose!

Actually I had heard he took a pretty bad beating awhile ago and lost big time. He is an awesome player to watch when he is backed into the corner but man..he plays dangerously...lol..the cards he calls and raises on is crazy.

The one thing I don't like about him is it makes others think they can pull off the samething and it can make for some really nutball players online. This, of course, can be good for those who are good players but for those who are just learning it can mean they lose the farm so to speak.

Always best to do some reading I think before trying to play like Mr Hanson...lol
