Home again, home again, jiggety jig. Sure wish I could remember more than just that one line from whatever memorable work that was! I'm sure, however, that one of my own here will be able to help me out. Always have. And I would be willing to bet that you always will! Not because of any merit of my own......it's just the way you are. That makes me the lucky one, because just like I was telling all the guys and gals I've been truant to play some poker with, and I LOVED telling them....te hee....you are mine! Yes, I am the only pro player who can tap on my glass with a spoon at a formal dinner meeting and as soon as all is quiet, I can stand up and say, with the biggest of my smiles, "Just wanted to remind you folks.....The Poker Crushers are mine! And what's more, for as long as they will have me, I am theirs!"
Most of them applauded, many of them laughed good-naturedly, and a jealous few just shook their heads. Those were the same few who told me a couple years ago that I was a fool, but that if I just had to do it, I was going about it all wrong! Now my PCers and I are the ones that could, if we were the type, serenade them all with a chorus of I-told-you-so's! One guy even made the remark to me that every time he reads about an online tourney, he would be surprised not to see at least one and maybe more Poker Crushers in the top ten!
So my friends, you are really living up to the rep you worked so hard to build. And I am just tickled pink.....and every other color of the rainbow! Now it's time for me, again, to try to do my very best to bring the Professional Championship of the 2007 World Series of Poker home to you! That's where I have been......called in to sub for a guy who couldn't make it at the very last minute......without even enough time to let you know what was happening, lest I flirt with the chance of missing my flight!
In any case, I did quite well, especially since I don't like, at all, back to back marathon tournaments. But it's a long time until the final tables this summer and the more big players I can beat before then, the higher my raking will be. Oh, how I would love to bring THAT trophy back to my Poker Crushers and present it to you as a token of my appreciation for all your support during my rough times.
Of course, then you would finally know for sure my real name, but that's okay, because you will learn it anyway when I can finally get our big shindig planned for a long weekend at my place.
It is so good to be back and I want to discuss so many things with you, as well as presenting some new almost-senior- level lessons for you, and I like, as you know, to present them in a way that they will benefit those just beginning, as well. We have both unfinished business and new business to cover. I think I have my work cut out for me and will be burning the midnight oil for you and for a long while now, Lord willing and no more interruptions of longer than a day or two.
But this trip was a really weird one in some ways, and I hope you don't mind if I just share some of it with you in this post. Wish you could have been with me. But I still love sharing my pro experiences with you and I can't help but think that in some small way, that will help you in the long run. When I was telling Miss Orange Crush about this particular trip, she kept cracking up completely, so I am hoping you will enjoy hearing a bit about it, as well.
I sure met some strange people at this too- long tourney. One guy, who obviously considered himself very brilliant, was always giving us examples of his "great ideas". For example, I couldn't help but laugh out loud, for which I got a frowning stare, when he said he kept a life-saving tool in his car. It's designed to cut the seat belt if he gets trapped. He keeps it IN THE TRUNK!
Then there was the day a few of us decided to go out and walk awhile in the fresh air during a long break. Someone shouted "Look at that dead bird!" The guy beside me looked up at the sky and said "Where?"
Yeah, I was playing with real geniuses. I would be embarrassed to death if I had to say one of those guys beat me. But I would have loved to turn my PCers loose on them. You pokerologists, who all now play counting on smarts instead of luck, would make mincemeat out of them, even if they are pro players.
I should have known it wasn't going to be a normal poker trip as soon as I got there. I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area, so I went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry. She said she was a trained professional and I was in good hands. "Now," she asked me, has your plane arrived yet? ........???????!!!!!!!
Miss Orange Crush lost it when I told her about that experience! After all, you know how good she is at HER job! She could not imagine a "trained professional" asking a question like that, while talking to the answer!
With a start like that, I guess I should be thankful that I can call the experience, as a whole, a successful one! Now I can't wait to jump in and read your posts about all of YOUR great successes! Speaking of which, I think it's time I end this and get to work on something constructive for you!
Sooooooooo........until next post, written or read, I remain

Guru, u said u wished u knew the rest of the words to that Jiggety jig nursery rhyme?
Well, guess what I just "happened" to come across...
this is from the website:
http://oaks.nvg.org/mother-goose.html
"To Market"
To market, to market, to buy a fat pig,
Home again, home again, jiggety jig.
To market, to market, to buy a fat hog,
Home again, home again, jiggety jog.
To market, to market, to buy a plum bun,
Home again, home again, market is done.
===========================
Seems like I remember there being more of it than just this ... well, less and more both actually, because I don't remember that last part at all, and it seems like there was more to it that isn't mentioned here! But this is what they said anyway!
Jiggety jig!
