OMG...... I just got thru w/ 3 hour tourney, and came in second place out of 160 entrants. It was over-the-top intense! I was a nervous wreck by the time I hit that "final" table, and even worse when I took out two of the final players! It was me and another lady, neck to neck... chips almost equal... we called, we folded, we raised, we folded, we went back and forth... I had never been down to the final two players before, this was a totally new experience. We all inned, we called, we went back and forth. Finally, we were nearly neck and neck again, I was leading... I had a lot of respect for my opponent. I had the big blind, she called me. I had K,10 of spades... I raised. She called. Down came the flop. Q,9,8. I checked. She bet. I called. Down came the turn. 5 of spades. I have four spades, K high at this point, possible straight. I raised. She called. Down came the river. Jackkkkkkkkkkkk. I all-inned, it was either win or lose, no inbetween. She called. Cards turned. We've both got straight. She's got the Ace. Whew. It was over. Well one more hand, she raised, I all inned, it was over. Outstanding game. I was a thrilled, and shocked and totally spent. 2nd place seems like a mighty fine place to be, lol. Just wanted to share this with you, my proudest poker moment! (I started playing poker, texas holdem about 1 month ago...)

Wow! Congratulations! Sounds like you did a fantastic job!
That situation IS nerve-wracking, I know! I have felt my heart pounding in my chest before when it gets down to the last few people and I'm one of them! And these are only freerolls I'm talkin about! It's not the prize that's the big thrill obviously - just having made it there when almost NO ONE else did!
Lots of fun... and definitely something to be proud of!
SO I was wondering... where was this tournament you played that you got 2nd place in?
Congrats again and good luck to you in the next one(s)!
Sounds like you'll do great - you must be a quick study! That's a lot to figure out in only a month!

Ty Sunspun!
yes, it was EXTREMELY nervewracking, lol. Took me another hour to chill out, but the RUSH was awesome, hehe.
I play in a forum vs. forum league. The owner has not of yet, listed her forum here, but may in the near future. Currently we have somewhere in the neighborhood of about 20 forums competing, with approx. one 10-player team each. Some of the bigger forums have more than one team. We start our new season next week, and from what I understand, we've gotten an exclusive deal w/ a poker site to sponser our weekly points freeroll for the whole new season. Plus the main forum has a private freeroll for the top teams, and one for the top 50 players, etc. Very cool. I'm ranked #22 player, and have only scored or cashed in 2 games out of this season, came in halfway thru it. Up to this point our weekly points freeroll have been at different places and the one last night was @ Titan.
