How about the Game Badugi. Its popular at a few poker rooms, but there are alot of peeps that either never heard of it, or have heard of it but don't know the exact rules of it.

The object is to get the lowest possible hand will different suits, for example ,

A,2,3,4, all different suits would be the nut hand.

Not is it only important to get low, but the most important thing is the different suits. The reason is because if you have 2 of the same suit, only the lowest card is counted, meaning you only have 3 playable cards.

Each player gets dealt 4 cards to start, then a betting round proceeds, then players may stand pat or discard all four cards to better their hand. (remember, you are trying to get the lowest possible hand, but more importantly, 4 different suited cards). Another betting round occurs, then players may stand pat or discard for a second time to improve their hand. Another round of betting, followed by a 3rd and final round of standing pat or discarding. Then one last final round of betting occurs and hands are shown.

Remember, the hands are tallied as such, the person with the most differently suited cards is counted as best. if player hands are the same in differently suited cards, then thats where the lowest possible cards are counted.

For instance,

if a 2 players both have 4 differently suited hands such as

Player #1 Has:
3c, 5h, 7s, 8d

player #2 Has:

2c, 3h, 4s, 10d

player #1 would actually have the best hand because player #1's highest card is an 8 compared to the player #2's card of a 10.

another example of a winning hand comparing suits is this:

Player #1 Has:
3c, 5h, 7s, 8c

Player #2 Has:

Qc, Kh, Js, 10d

Player #2 actually has the better hand because player #2 has 4 different suits, while player #1 only has 3 different suits with only the 3c, 5h, 7s, counting in player #1's hand because the 8c is the same suit of the 3c, so only the 3c will be counted, and the 8c will be disregarded.

Another important note is that along with having the different suits and the lowest hands, is that cards also may not match, even if it is differently suited.

For example, if a player has 3c, 5h, 7s, 3d , one of the 3's will not be counted in the hand, the player has a choice in which one they will keep or discard.

This is the basic rules of the game Badugi. I hope they make since to you, and you better understand the game if you didn't before.
