Rhea,
You can find an answer to your question in Guru`s mini lesson located at the battom of last posts. This is part of lesson :

"Wild Bill traveled with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. He starred as a sharpshooter. This was after he served his duty as a scout in the Civil War.

In 1876, while playing cards, he was shot in the back by "Crooked Nose McCall". As a result, at the age of thirty-nine, Wild Bill Hickok died. The cards he was holding at the time of his death were Aces and eights. From that day until this day, Aces and Eights have been known as the "Dead Man's Hand". "

Rhea and Kaska ~

Rhea, Kaska is absolutely right!

She, too, is a beginner, but as I see it, she is making great progress by learning from our Guru"s lessons!

Good thinking to you both. And VERY glad to have you as a fellow Crusher, Rhea!

Hi rhea,

I'm so glad you have revisited us, and it's good to see you have a keen interest in Poker.
If their is anything your not sure of, or you need help in at all, please don't be afraid to ask,
there will alway's be somebody who'll answer your post.
Once you have a few visit's to poker Crush, it will begin to seem more familiar to you,

As for learning the game of poker , I think it would be best to start afresh from the beginning, it is important for you to get the right start.
You can find a great deal of imformation on many websites that offer free lesson's for begginner's.

If you are not a beginner, please forgive me for assuming so.

It may seem a little daunting at first, because there is so much imformation to take in.

But remember, you don't need all that imformation all the time,
only some of it , some of the time.

I wish you good poker knowledge

Alan

Hi rhea,

I may have misled you in my earlier post,
Of course you do need all the imformation all the time, the more you know, the better player you will be.
I just meant take your time, be patient, and most of all, enyoy the game.

Alan
