Hello dear Crushers!
Thought I had better take time out from inventing new games and trying to learn coding to present you with another August contest!
This one will help you build up those PC points to trade for cash at the most generous site on the web, of which we are proud enough to let NO ONE catch up with us on that score! The Crushers were the FIRST to receive so many cash prizes, thanks to Geno, and by golly! we will ALWAYS, God willing, be more giving than any other site!
All who post the correct answer to the following situation will have a chance to be a winner of at least but maybe more: 1000 PC points.
Usual rules apply. Contest will run until the end of the month. I wish you Good Thinking as you seek the answer to this situational question:
The poker game's final table has left you with just one other player, your final opponent! (something that could happen to any of you who have been with us for a few months!)
Nobody knows how you did it, but each of you know what the other is holding; so it will depend on the river!
Your opponent is holding a 10 and a Jack. You are holding a ten and an Ace. So far, the community cards have been: a rainbow of 7, 8, 3, and 10.
Obviously, he is hoping for a 9 to make his straight. You are hoping, rather glumly, while you smile, laugh, wink and cajole him, for ANYTHING except a 9!
The dealer lays out the last card. The river is a 6!
Now: What does the Ace in your hand have in common with a football player who has not one, but TWO gold rings! His name is Adam Vinatieri and he IS a real person who really did bring home the gold TWICE!
Good Thinking to all you excellent poker scholars of whom I am so proud!
Affctionately,
Your PokerGuru |

They are both superior kickers.
The Carolina Panthers' placekicker John Kasay, on the other hand, got a nasty dose of 'the agony of da feet' in Super Bowl XXXVIII against the Patriots. His errant kickoff with under a minute remaining led to a most improbable loss. |
