I can't believe this...
Finally, after a great month and being able to cashout some pretty nice winnings....my BANK of all things has frozen my account...not for returns or for insufficient funds but for funds being transferred/deposited into my account. Currently they are holding 2 of my "winnings" transfers and have rejected 2 others. The bank manager explained to me that the only payments the bank will accept is a paycheck from my employer and will not condone any other types of electronic payments. The bank is ScotiaBank.
I need to open a new account at another bank ASAP - if knows of a bank in Canada that does accept online deposits and payouts (incl. using eWallet accounts) with min. reservation - PLEASE...let me know..I hope to be able to have payouts that were rejected transferred to the new account as soon as I can.
Help?!?!!? |

Kid, you may want to look into a wired plastic card-I receive wire transfers in to that as an ach-I don't have an actual bank; the only problem is that you're limited to $10,000-they will only allocate $2500 per day <not that this has ever been an issue for me though>-I'm not Canadian so I don't know about your specific issue, but I know Sable's bank closed her account (she is USA also, I think) because of her receiving wire transfers from her winnings. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I know some of your prepaid visa cards do accept wires, hope this helps some. |

the bank manager at my branch from the beginning did not like "eCheck" and their "Misc" that they used to describe their transactions. And then totally freaked when I made a deposit from EcoCard and it's bank is from the Netherlands. I explained to her that they are both legit companies, with eCheck (InstaDebit) residing right here in Toronto, Canada. She told me she had requested their 'International Banking" department to investigate the the wire transfers and companies involved, and only after she has received approval from the department would she "unfreeze" my account but will still continue to reject/block any future transactions from either of them. Furthermore, she could not give me a time frame but warned me it is a long process. Dumbfounded I asked her "So what do I do for cash?"...reply..."If you need $50...I will release $50 to you now and tomorrow if you need more I'll release $50 again." Is this legal?? Seriously I'm so frustrated.... |

I'm so stressed...I tried playing poker last night or this morning...I couldn't think..and lost miserably....it was like every call, bet or fold was the wrong play...almost every hand played was 2nd best..obviously not good enough.
I have to be careful...and not tilt as with my bank account frozen...what I have in online accounts and Vanilla MasterCards (good thing a bought a few) is basically my only income until the bank has approval to release my funds back to me. |

The bank has accepted that first payout I won for $5000 into my account; however the account will remain frozen until the International Bank Division of Scotia Bank has completed it's investigation of the wire transfer and the acting parties involved (Jackpot Capital and EcoCard). Once the legitamacy of the companies and how the funds was obtained is proven and deemed acceptable, only then will the freeze be taken off the bank account allowing me access once again. Meanwhile my other two payouts are somewhere in cyber space as the bank has rejected them and the companies have yet to receive the returned payment. So ya.....stress.....
one way I can look at..is in a weird sort a way...it may be saving me money...LOL
no...wait...it could also be costing me money!!!! can't win if i can't play.....oh man...LOL |
