I believe because I live in NY...I believe that others in the U.S in different states will receive emails that state their state that they reside in. |

Ahh, I see, well, that would make sense!
I don't know if I got one of these yet or not, and if I have, I haven't read it... I've stopped opening my emails for the time being!
Thanks!!

OK, I'm confused then... I thought we were talking about a nationwide issue here. Wasn't it some federal ruling, which would mean it would apply to every state in the union, and that individual states do not have the say-so over whether they follow or not?
But I must have something wrong, if there's a list of states affected... and that means the states not on the list are not affected by it? That can't be right.
Can anyone explain please? I'm (obviously) still fairly uninformed on this ruling, and that's not good.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Ok the new law affects all of the USA as far as credit cards banks etc relating to FUNDING online gaming.
The states listed have other laws relating to online gambling itself. Each with it's own versions relating to deposits, cards, banks and gambling online.
So they pick out those states with their own stricter laws besides the federal law.
I hope that kind of explains it |
