A suggestion for a tiny change for the forum

This has been mentioned before in the contest forum, but I thought I'd "officially" suggest it here too.

It would be just dandy if the memberlist could be sorted by categories (column headings) like it is at CC. Specifically, I'm wanting to sort by Gamepoints, but the ability to sort by any and all categories would be appreciated very much. I think a lot of people would find that helpful.

Things overall look great though! Thanks and keep up the good work! Lots of fans out here, as you may have "heard".

Actually, as I think about it, it's really not much of an inconvenience not being able to sort the list that way -- not right now at least. It's when the membership grows (in the near future) that we'd appreciate it more.
There's still a small enough memebrship right now that it's not bad at all though. There are only 3 pages of members (more like 2 and a half even), and I guess it's sorted by default by join date, so that the oldest members (not by age but by how long they've been a member!) show up first.

AND I guess the older members have tended to be more avid gameplayers, because as I'm looking thru the list trying to see what scoundrels have more game points than I do, I see that all the scoundrels are on the 1st page of the list. I think there was one exception. So really, I'd only have to scan one page of the list to find this out, which is hardly more trouble than it would be if I could sort the list by gamepoint category. And even if they were all scattered throughout the whole list, it still would only be 3 pages at this time, which still isn't a huge undertaking either. But as it is, they're all concentrated on pg. 1, so like I said, it's no big deal.

HOWEVER, I see more people are joining every day, so it won't be long before it'll be too much to look thru like that, and then it really will need to be sortable, so I'm not withdrawing that suggestion here! Still a good idea, I think!

OK, on to bigger and better things now! lol

Well, I just checked the list, and I saw some of the scoundrels were gaining on me, so I got busy on those games for awhile! And yes, Annacris, one of those scoundrels is YOU! LOL
But I'm getting there!

Well, I thought I remembered where I'd read that about how to play Omaha, so I went to that forum, and I think I found it, but they had deleted that post! Anyway, but I did see this there... someone asked how to play Omaha, and this was one of the answers!:

close your eyes and click at random

That pretty much summed it up!

I'm not too crazy about Omaha, but for some reason, I have found that I like Omaha Hi-Lo -- even though I'm not very good at it - yet!

I just realized I was in an entirely different thread than I thought I was when I made that post above, so it won't make much sense!

I forgot I had moved. It was supposed to be posted in the thread I created called "Funny explanation how to play Omaha" over in the Poker definitions forum.

If someone who has the power to do so could move that for me, it should make a lot more sense there!

If not, y'all will just have to figure it out for yourselves!

Hey! I just went to check the memberlist to see how everyone was doing on gamepoints since the contest is ending, and as I scrolled down through each page of names, scanning the points column for any BIG numbers (since little ones don't scare me now!) (lol), I noticed when I got to the bottom of one page, that there was a sort by column feature down there!

Right there! RIght under my nose! Has that been there all along??

I've only been looking for it at the top of the page, so I might believe it if you tell me it's been there all this time that I've been wishing aloud that we had that here!

Or... did someone sneak it in when we weren't looking?

Either way, that's very cool that it is and I just used it for the first time just now, and it is easier that way, of course.

ok how did we go from a tiny suggestion to omaha to kudo's to PC.... man this crowd seems more like I fit in all the time LOL... right up my alley.

btw, I have to admit sunspun, yep it was there all the time, I found it too, fortunately before I spent too long up and down the pages... but I was able to keep tabs on which of my dear crusher roomates were scoring, hehe. I'm that blasted one who had nothing better to do than click click click click click ok like what a gadzillion times... on a game that shall not be named as I am trying to get over my addiction. LOL.

but this is the coolest place, 4 sure! Very Happy
