I think we should start our own Hall of Fame!!!!!!

We need our very own POKER CRUSH HALL OF HONOR AND FAME!!!!

This is to celebrate contributions, wins, attitudes and whatever the PC memberhip choosing what is noteworthy to be included.

At the rate Bower and al are going they should be first ones on it!!

You never know when one of our members will turn pro or get in the WSOP!!!!!

Bower and al are a step away from that I think if they would give it a shot Razz

Of course on the top of the list under the title of Poker Crush Hall of Honor would be out very own GURU who IS a professional, and noteworthy for even starting this board.

Any nominated people to be on the board should have the Name, Poker name they used, and of course Date.

Use your imaginations and go from there. Could have Honored, Honory or a bunch of subcatagories for any number of things if you wanted to get that deep.

VERY good idea, Valeria!

Keep thinking, concentrating on details, and I will do the same!

EVERY member should be involved in this from the creation ideas all the way thru everything that happens concerning it!!!

Every PCer is eligible to nominate ANYTHING! We will probally be having lots of votes.

Sooooooo,,,,,,,,,,put those good thinking caps right back on, PCers! LOL! No rest for the thinkers of the world!

This will be YOUR Hall of FAME and every idea should be YOURS!!! To be voted on, of course.

Let's see if we can run our forum better than we are running some of our countries!

Ok here is my list of possible groups - Pc'ers vote on the names:
We would list PC member name, poker names, dates won, which casino etc. PC'ers decide.

The highest honor would go to PC'ers who turn Professional and/or actually made it to the WSOP. Our most prestige group.

Our very own PC Tournament Winners. We could have this as a Honory of the Month Winner. The players who win the most consistantly throughout the month. It would be a Monthly Honor. From January though December.

Then to top it off we would have the Winner of the Year. This would be held for the ONE player who won the most Tournaments for the year. I can see Bower and Al in this list lol not to mention Char and mirrors and many others.

Honors for Contributions to PC. This could be for members that go far and above normal members to make PC great! Input, activity, ideas whatever PC'ers deem as noteworthy! Such as our Rainbow with her consistant messages and many more.

This is a start... now more ideas people!

Well, PCers, I didn't plan to be the one in answer to my own question in the post above, but I have to carry thru with ideas or I often forget them.

I want to address 2 topics here:

1. Besides the honor of our members, we have to remember what keeps our forum alive -- and that is people clicking on the banners in the posts our members make. When they click, and especially if they make a deposit, that is what brings the payments for advertising into our forum from the poker sites.

If the payments coming in do not keep increasing, any forum dies out and fades away - including ours. That is why so many forums come and go on the internet.

These are the hard facts of life that most forum admins do not even mention to their members, much less discuss with them. But as you have known for a long time, we are mavericks! We do things differently here and we like being different! It is working for us, much to Geno's surprise, I think, and it is the key to our success! We don't even pay any attention to how any other forums are run. We just go ahead and do things our own way! So far, it has proved to be the BEST way.

Therefore, considering everything I have just said, I think there should definitely be places of honor in our Hall of Fame for the members who make posts to talk about and advertise poker sites they approve of. And ONLY the ones they approve of. We keep our credibility at all costs! That is why I personally check out every poker site that we carry banners for.

So what this all means is that it is the members who make the most posts advertising poker sites that keep us alive!

Sooooooo......I am making a suggestion that we have a winner every month with a place of honor for being our most Supporting Member of the Month.........because it IS their posts that do support us and keep us alive and growing!

2. My second suggestion is that you members nominate and vote in Valeria - or anyone else you think would be best qualified - to be my assistant director to help me run this Hall of Fame ,,,,,,,because it will take more time than I have to devote to it. This will have to be a volunteer position and will need someone who is both able and willing.

Your idea of best "Supporting"member of the month is great and I'm sure we will have some great competition in trying to achieve it,thus bringing in more cash to PC.

Hello again, PCers,

If there are any other nominations for assistant director, they should be posted by the end of this week.

Then we will need someone (or more) to second the nominations made --- by the end of NEXT week.

Then during the third week of October, we will vote on that and also on the items so far suggested to be included in our Hall of Fame. Plus any others suggested before then.

I will have a place ready for you to vote at any time during the voting week. But before I start on its plans, we need input from everybody THIS WEEK, either by post or by PM to me, as to whether you prefer open posted voting or secret ballots by PMs to me.
Let me hear from EVERY member on this matter by the end of this week!

Well... I am surprised to say the least! No one else is being nominated? C'mon people. Just cuz Guru sort of suggested my name everyone jumped on the bandwagon!! LOL No one esle is interested in applying for the job?

We definately need to organize this by how many catagories we want and how to do the voting.

To be able to be nominated for Monthly Awards/Yearly awards we difinately need to hear from EVERYONE when they have wins so we can keep track of them. That means more posting of your wins everyone Smile

I put up an idea and suddenly I have no running mate!

And Guru we need a new place in the Forum called Poker Crush Hall of Fame so all newbies have something to aspire to! (Not to mention our Veterens.

Oh as an idea Guru. You know how we can take polls? This might be a very easy way for everyone to vote.

As a poll we enter everyones name that has been nominated. Then people would just have to click on the Poll of the name they vote for that particualar Catagory.

This would save you many many private emails and it would keep track of the votes for us.. also anyone could see who was in the lead at anytime. That would make everyone scramble to get their votes in.
Just an idea. We could have a poll for every catagagory on the Hall of Fame.

Maybe even use a poll where we put everyone who has qualified for each catagory. Then for the lazy ones out there it is a matter of clicking button rather than typing out and answer in an email. Smile

How does this sound everyone?
