Time to Move On with My PC Members!
You have all been so kind, my starlings and little chickadees. But now it is time for me to get my mind back on my work and.....with your help.....continue trying to make Poker-Crush the best place to want to spend a lot of time , having fun and learning how to get rich too! And to get rich by playing a game that we all love, even tho it frustrates everybody once in a while. To be perfectly accurate, I would have to say that we allow it to frustrate us by doing something wrong. That is why we are here: to learn how not to let some things happen and to learn how to make other things happen.....and to help one another with constant reminders.
The massacre at VT was senseless and the act of a little loser who could not let the winners go on with their lives. Like Valeria and several others, I may have to rant and rave and ask WHY? once in a while, but life does move on and we were put here to live it. Let's live a lot of it right here and have the best time we possibly can , trying to make one another happy. Every one of my members is certainly free to suggest different things for us to do here at PC.
I just have to voice one more opinion of mine before we move ahead. I do not believe the shootings were random at all. I believe the little bastard had planned it for a long time, including in the planning a very precise list of his victims. Why do I believe this? Because the beautiful human beings he gunned down in cold blood were among the best and brightest at VT. Every one of them was outstanding, with the very best of personalities and values, and also displayed amazing achievement in ways that benefitted many. They each could have been called a very real hero. I guess the little twerp could not make the grade, so he took it out on those who did.
I apologize for the tirade.....I think....., and now we WILL put all bad things behind us and do our best to continue beings winners in as many ways as possible.
I will be posting more tonight, but I wanted to get something out there right away to let you know that your Guru is okay and back on track, even with a missing piece of heart.
The support of each of you has played a big role in keeping me on my feet and ready to continue living well. After all, as the great Richard Harris once said in a recording (talking to his students, by the way), "Living well is my best revenge!"
Your grateful to have you

Well said, Guru. Got this e-mail from my cousin who was forwarding an e-mail from his cousin who had a good friend killed in the massacre.
Hi Friends,
My young cousin Lincoln attends Virginia Tech University. A week ago Monday he was spared any injury, thank goodness, when that mad gunner shot and killed students and professors.
Lincoln found out early the next morning that his friend and fellow cadet Matt was killed trying to take the gun from the gunman. Here is a note that he just sent to me.
Those kids, friends and families still need our prayers. It's been tough for all of them.
Mike W.
From Lincoln:
Friends and Family,
For those of you that don't already know, my good friend and fellow cadet Matt La Porte was killed during the events of April 16th, 2007. In his honor, the Corps of Cadets and Regimental Band, the Highty-Tighties, have established a scholarship. It is a fitting memorial to a young man who was such a great cadet and bandsman.
I am emailing you to ask for your help in getting this scholarship endowed. Should you wish to make a donation here are the details:
Make checks payable to "Virginia Tech Foundation"
On the memo line, write "Matthew J. La Porte Highty-Tighty Scholarship"
Either mail the checks to me at:
208 Brodie Hall
Blacksburg, VA 24060
or mail to:
Office of University Development
Attn Colonel David Spracher
902 Price's Fork Road (0336)
Blacksburg, VA 24061
Thank you so much for your support throughout this whole ordeal.
Very Respectfully,
Lincoln A. Nesbit |
