Hello, my flock!
Soooooo good to be talking to you again! Man alive, I was amazed to find out just how much someone you speak to every day on the internet can be missed when a day has to be skipped!!! YES! I MISSED YOU!
I have good news and bad news. Which you want first?
Oh! the bad and get it over with, huh? Very well. My poor old worn-out computer has, with the help of a Florida storm, bless its heart, kicked the bucket!
That would leave me up the creek with the well-known name without a paddle if it were not for the good news!
Ya ready?
I am having myself a special high-end computer built new to my own specifications!!!!! Custom-built just for me for my Crushers with the big important P in front of their category!
It should be ready in 5 to 7 business days! I am like a kid a week before Christmas!!!
Until then, I will continue to get to you however and with whatever I have -- at the moment, a very old borrowed computer. Aren't great friends wonderful!
It is causing our June to get off to a late beginning, but you know what they say : In like a lamb, out like a LION!!!!! The latter is us!
I know some of you are already working on your Arcades games contest! Others will come along one at a time instead of all at once, as you voted to have it be!
Hope I can get back to you tomorrow and ...... I am going to try to type that first lesson on ring table ways to win consistently tonight!
SO GET READY!
Bear Hugs to you all!

What exactly does custom-built mean anyway? I don't really know myself. Maybe Em or Nana would have something to say in answer to this too?
How would a custom-built one differ from a standard computer?
And is this something a computer store does for you or something someone you know does or what?
And, those of you who can do this or who have had it done, is it worth it, in your opinion? (I'm assuming it would cost more?)
Mine's getting on in age, and slowing down more every day, it seems.
thanks!

Custom built simply means you decide what you want your computer to have based on compatible parts, accessories and software. (i.e. 2 GB or 4GB, 180 GB HDD or a 1 TB HDD, Intel processor or AMD processor, various types of video cards...the list can go on and on).
Where as a pre-configured or "Built" computer are usually systems that have been pre-built and assembled already therefore would be purchased as is or in a package deal. (add-ons or changes could be made but limited to compatibility).
Hope that helped... |

Because I didnt know alot about computers my older sister went online through the Dell company and had mine custom built and it tells the price of everything you want as you build it.I think I got it at the dell outlet store or warehouse and then you know when it will arrive at your door. |
