Dear Poker-Crushers,
It is with sadness that unfortunately PokerGuru is no longer able to keep up with his residency here at Poker-Crush.Com whilst maintaining his living from playing poker also.
We have discussed possibilities of a return if and when things may get better but realistically we couldn't come to a 'best way forward' and so we thought it best to leave it there.
I don't think PokerGuru is going to have chance to say his goodbyes personally but he did say he'd send me an email to post and I will do as soon as I receive this.
What does this mean for Poker-Crush.Com?
Well I was kind of hoping maybe some of you could help decide where you would like this site to go. At the moment I'm not intending on trying to coax another professional over but perhaps a one (or two) of the many of you that have learned from him. (the student becoming the teacher etc I guess ?)
If any existing members (registered and been an active member for at least 2 years) then please send me a PM here at Poker-Crush (NOT at CC please!!!) with details of what you believe to offer.
Anyone wishing to be considered to be a administrator/moderator should be well organised *, clear, and concise as well as having experience of posting banners from our banner library and obviously a reasonable knowledge of poker!!! * (so those feeling a need to send more than one PM on this will kind of discount themselves for not being able to think everything thru in one PM)
I have not set in stone any number of people, roles or anything as yet as this is kind of sudden, but I'd like to review any posts / ideas and anyone wishing to have a more senior role here at PC (via PMs please) around the middle of July.
This is YOUR forum community and it's important that I can consider everything so even if you do not want to be a senior / leader type member here - then please at least post to let me know what kind of things you'd like to see here at PC and this perhaps will give others that might like to try a senior position some ideas about what they might need to be doing
Thanks everyone for your understanding and my apologies for the very short notice on PokerGuru's now permanent departure from Poker-Crush.Com
Geno/PC/CC |

Although sad, I WISH GURU great success in the Poker Profession. Personally, I am ONLY barely at the end of my 1st year at the tables, but I can think of a few PC'ers qualified!! I have no idea if they are interested, of course. HeHe |

Very sorry to see Guru go....an encouraging ray of poker hope and teaching every day is gone. I really hope Bower applies for the moderator job. I believe him more than qualified and assume he has the time to do a great job each day if he can tear himself from the online tables. Thank you, Geno, for the heads up and for all you do for us PCers and CCers and BCers. |

sorry to see guru has left tho to be honest its not came as a surprise as the last few months hes not been able to come here much...wish him or her the best of luck in the future...as for moderator job i guess the one thats probably best suited would be bower because of time he has available and the experience he has of poker and posting etc...plus the fact he spent so much time on arranging poker tournaments(hmmm what ever happened to them lol) make him the best qualified out of current members |

WOW, first my golden girls actors died 2 of them anyway, then found out that dear farrah was dying sooner than expected, my neighbor across the street died in his sleep a month ago (he's the only person i knew in my neighborhood) finally was getting to moving on then farrah died & if that wasn't enough michael died later that day (i've been collecting his music & following him since he started out, he's 5 yrs older than me) i still don't know how to deal with it, i cry everytime i hear something on the news about him, my son is making me a special one of a kind shirt for my b day, seems like he's the only one close enough to me that understands (since he used to dance to his music when he was little, i have the videos) , then i get an email that one of my card buddies daughter died from a stroke, now GURU is leaving, how much more can one heart take, i just don't know what to say, i'm heart broken, i will stay on here as Chaplain, that's all i can do & or say right now, i'm at a loss for words |

It is a big shock to hear this. As everyone else I am a loss for words to hear this news.
I wish PokerGuru the best in the WSOP and all the poker games.
He has taught us a lot and is a fantastic teacher! I really hate to see him go as he is a major part of the forum.
Whoever fills his shoes is going to have a tough time of it but as most of the others say I think Bower would ba a great one to take up the reins so to speak and a great poker player!
I will really have to think on this before I can really say more here.
Thanks for letting us know Geno. |
